Privacy Policy
Short answer. If you submit the form on the homepage, Shop Energy Prices sends your name, email, customer type, and energy type to a Make.com webhook and then opens rates.jakenenergy.com. The site also uses Google Analytics. Reading articles does not require an account.
This policy describes that flow as it works in the site code today. It was last reviewed on September 22, 2026.
Information you submit
The homepage form asks for your name, email address, whether you are a residential or business customer, and whether you are asking about electricity or natural gas. When you submit it, the browser sends those fields, plus a timestamp, in a JSON request to a Make.com webhook. After that request, the page sends you to https://rates.jakenenergy.com even if the webhook request fails.
Do not submit the form if you do not want that information used to follow up about energy plans. The form is optional. Every guide on the site can be read without it.
Information collected automatically
Pages load Google Analytics with measurement ID G-74KH0JM9QF. Google may set cookies and receive your IP address, browser type, and the pages you open, under Google’s own terms. The learning-center search box filters articles in your browser. A search you type there is not sent to Shop Energy Prices unless you arrived with a q parameter already in the address bar, which only fills the box.
What this site does not do
The guides do not ask for a utility account number, a Social Security number, or a payment card. Do not email those details to a link you did not type yourself. Shop Energy Prices is not your utility and cannot see your meter.
How long information is kept
The webhook is operated through Make.com, and the rates site is a separate destination. Retention of the form fields depends on those services. This static site does not run its own database of submissions.
Choices
You can refuse the form, block analytics cookies in your browser, and use the guides anyway. To ask about a submission you already made, use the contact path on the rates site you were sent to, because that is where the follow-up happens.
